The album generated hits many still love and featured singers who have gone on to become big names today. Thaiwijit Puengkasemsomboon thinks miracles can happen every day by ordinary people. The Chiang Mai-born artist creates new things from leftovers but doesn't claim to necessarily be an eco-warrior. He reinterprets old things and makes them new according to his imagination. His "functional objects" may make you see ordinary objects in a new light. The possibility to reinterpret things becomes what he calls "miracle". The opening ceremony takes place today at 7pm.

+ The Air We Breathe

Right to Clean Air -- The Art Exhibition / BACC / Jan 16-28

Questioning quality of the air that we breathe becomes the inspiration behind this photo/installation exhibition by Greenpeace Southeast Asia. Artist Ruangsak Anuwatwimon turns hazard particulate into artworks that are both beautiful and sad at the same time to raise awareness of the negative effects caused by air pollution. The purpose of this exhibition is also to convince the Pollution Control Department to include particles that are smaller than 2.5 microns in Thailand's Air Quality Index calculation to better protect Thai people. The opening ceremony will be held on Jan 16 at 1pm. Visitors are welcome to attend talks with topics such as "Where is Thailand in the PM2.5 Air Pollution Issue?", "Smart and Sustainable City, 4.0 or 0.4?", "Transboundary Air Pollution in Southeast Asia", and "Dust Talk - Behind the Scenes of Polluted Places". This should be one topical edutainment event.

Sajja Sajjakul delivers a sharp critique on modern life via his oil paintings layered with metaphors and symbols. He tackles globalisation, social injustice, political turmoil and more through the colourful nightmarish landscapes he creates. His works are both captivating and thought-provoking. Some of the paintings featured in this exhibition were on display at the exhibition of the same name held at Agora Gallery in New York last July but the artist has since created new ones.

The great Liam Neeson, Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson.

What's it about?
A mysterious woman (Farmiga) approaches a businessman (Neeson) on his daily train commute home from work to figure out a "hidden passenger" in return for cash. Before he knows it, he's plunged into a criminal conspiracy that puts his life and those of his fellow passengers in danger.

Why watch it?
It's weird. Like, really weird. And Nicole Kidman in full-on punk garb is a must-see.

Everyday is 4/20 at Ruth Whitefeather Feldman's LA dispensary. The Netflix original comedy series follows Ruth, a lifelong advocate for legalisation, living her lifelong dream of running a dispensary with her son and other "budtenders". The second part is available to stream today.

+ THE POLKA KING

Based on a true story, the film follows Jan Lewan, played by Jack Black, and his drive to achieve the American Dream by any means necessary. He would eventually be dubbed the "King of Pennsylvania Polka", but his ambition would also be his downfall.

+ TAIWAN FILM FESTIVAL, JAN 17-23

The Taiwan Film Festival at Quartier CineArt, EmQuartier, will showcase eight Taiwanese films. Some of the titles that will be screened include Hang In There, Kids! about three ethnic kids who travel to Taipei with their teacher's audition tape, and Godspeed, which stars Thai actor Vithaya Pansringarm. Tickets are priced at B160 except for A Brighter Summer Day, for which tickets are priced at B250.
