Festival goers said they wanted to send a message of peace to everyone in Jacksonville.
"The theme is pro-peace. We chose the east side because it’s a community that has been oppressed for a long time now, and we wanted to start the We Rise festival here because it’s a beautiful community," said Nico Holderbaum ,the director of We Rise Festival.
