Global Constellation Leashes International Sales for ‘Charlie the Wonderdog’

European agency Global Constellation has picked up international sales responsibilities for Icon Creative Studio’s upcoming animated family feature Charlie the Wonderdog, starring Owen Wilson as the titular canine hero. The CG pic is soaring toward a Q4 delivery this year.

Global Constellation will handle sales for the U.K. and Ireland, France, Scandinavia, Hungary, Latin America and Asia (excluding Mongolia and Vietnam). The movie has already sold to an expansive list of markets, including the U.S., Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Benelux, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, ex-Yugoslavia, Ukraine, the Baltics, CIS, Turkey, Israel, Middle East and North Africa, South Africa, Mongolia and Vietnam.

Synopsis: The superhero adventure follows a studious nine-year old named Danny and his favorite canine in the whole world — his dog, Charlie. When Charlie gets kidnapped by a group of pesky aliens, he fortunately returns home with unknown superpowers. In unbelievable shock Danny finds his family pet has turned into a real-live Superhero! All is fun and games until Puddy, the sinister cat next door, and his unlikely canine side-kick Cookie, arrange a diabolical plan to pollute the human food chain and destroy humanity. Danny and Charlie must act fast and figure out how to use Charlie the Wonderdog’s superhero powers to save the world!

Charlie the Wonderdog is helmed by director & producer and President of Icon Creative Studio Shea Wageman (Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, Monsters at Work), who co-wrote the script with Steve Ball (Storm Hawks, The League of Super Evil),  and producer Carson Loveday (Monsters at Work, Young Jedi Adventures). The voice cast features Owen Wilson, Tabitha St. Germain (My Little Pony, The Care Bears, Monsters High), Ruairi McDonald (The Man in the High Castle), Dawson Littman (CoComelon Lane) and Zac Bennett-McPhee.
