Queenscliff Music Festival announces 16 more artists to join the extensive lineup

This year’s Queenscliff Music Festival is shaping up to be an amazing weekend of music in a beautiful cozy seaside town. Just an easy 90-minute drive from Melbourne  and 35km from Geelong in Wadawurrung country, Queenscliff is a mecca for those interested in community and arts.

The festival is held between 28-30 November and the organisers have just announced an additional 16 artists, including The Preatures, Tex Perkins & Matt Walker, Mama Kin Spender and many more added to the first lineup, which includes The Cat Empire, Thelma Plum, USA’s Donovan Frankenreiter and The Waifs, which makes this announcement even more exciting.

It’s great to see the reunion of The Preatures, with lead singer Isabella Manfredi bringing the classic “Is This How You Feel” back to life. Tex Perkins and Matt Walker are teaming up to bring the best of their extensive back catalogue, with a few surprise covers thrown in for good measure.

A band that has a history of sonic emotion, Mama Kin Spender will be playing tunes from their acclaimed albums Golden Magnetic and Are You Listening? Expect a primal and powerful performance that’s built in life’s difficult journey.

Ella Hooper, lead singer of Killing Heidi, has a rich and powerful store of songs that span the alt-rock to the Americana. Having recently collaborated with Stevie Nicks, she is sure to put on a memorable performance.

Having kept audiences entertained for some 30 years, The Badloves certainly know how to win over an audience. The ARIA and Australian Music Award winners will have you dancing faster than you can say “Green Limousine”.

That’s not all. Psychedelic band Velvet Trip, blues outfit Dom Turner & The Rural Blues Project, futurist funk collective Cool Out Sun, and garage psych favourites Bones & Jones also head up the bill. There really is a varied range of styles.

Held over the last weekend in November, Queenscliff Music Festival offers a fun and exciting event for some 10,000 revellers. It’s family and camping friendly too.
