Independence Day celebrations and fireworks displays in central Wisconsin

Adams

4th of July Parade begins at 10 a.m. on July 4. The parade and a picnic are hosted by the Adams-Friendship VFW Post 6279 & Auxiliary

Antigo

The 4th of July Parade begins at 7 p.m. on Edison Street to Antigo High School on July 4. Fireworks will begin from the fields south of Antigo High at 9:20 p.m.

Athens

The Athens Lions will host their 4th of July Celebration July 3 and 4 at Memorial Park. The event will include food and drinks, kids events, and live music. Fireworks at dusk on July 3 behind the co-op.

Boulder Junction

Star Spangled Jubilee Parade begins at Noon on July 4. Fireworks show is at dusk at Payzer Memorial Field.

Conover

Enjoy a parade on Highway K, picnic in the park at Conover Town Park, and a water ski show on Lake Pleasant from 1-4 p.m. on July 4.

Eagle River

4th of July Parade begins at 11 a.m. followed by a party in the street, and the Culpepper and Merriweather Circus with shows at 2 & 4:30 p.m. Fireworks will be at the south end of the airport after dusk.

Fenwood

The annual Fenwood 4th of July fireworks show will take place at the Fenwood Ball Park.

Green Lake

The day begins with an American Legion Post 306 pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m. oN July 4. There is a run/walk for veterans at 8:30 a.m., live music and family fun in the afternoon, a community parade at 4 p.m. and fireworks display over Big Green Lake at dusk.

Gresham

4th of July Celebration begins July 5 with a parade at 11 a.m. Festivities include bounce houses, a kickball tournament, vendors and fireworks at dusk.

Iola

Fireworks at dusk on July 3, with festivities including baseball games beginning at 6 p.m. Great viewing locations around Lake Iola, especially at Taylor Field.

Lac du Flambeau

Events run from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. downtown including a parade at noon, food and craft vendors, live music, a pow wow at 7 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.

Land O’ Lakes

The event from 5-11 p.m. on July 3 features a concert, food, vendors and beer garden, along with the largest fireworks show in the Northwoods.

Then, on July 4, the community celebrates with a small town parade followed by Party in the Park which offers great food, drinks, kids games, and free live music.

Manitowish Waters

Parade begins at 1 p.m. on July 4, with a fireworks display July 5 at dusk.

Medford

American Legion Boom Fest features live music July 3 from 5-11 p.m at Medford City Park. Events continue July 4 from 2-11 p.m. including fireworks at dusk.

Merrill

Food will be available beginning at 5 p.m. July 5 at the MARC. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

Mosinee

A horseshoe and cornhole tournament begins at noon July 4, with entertainment from 3-7 p.m., a parade at 6 p.m. and fireworks at dusk at River Park.

Minocqua

Celebrate Independence Day in Minocqua with a parade at 4 p.m., Min-Aqua Bats water ski show at 7 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.

Neillsville

Fireworks begin at dusk July 4 at the Clark County Fairgrounds.

Phelps

Festivities begin at 3 p.m. July 4 with a grand parade. The day continues with live music, a boat parade at 5 p.m., raffle drawings, and fireworks over North Twin Lake at 10 p.m.

Phillips

A parade begins at 2 p.m. July 4, followed by music in the park and fireworks at dusk over Elk Lake. Events continue July 5 with a walk/run at 8:30 a.m., and a craft and vendor fair from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The Price Co. Rodeo will take place both evenings at 7:30 p.m.

Sayner

A community parade begins at noon July 4 on Hwy 155, followed by fun in the park. Fireworks will be held behind the Plum Lake Library at dusk.

Shawano

Fireworks begin at dusk July 3 at the Shawano Airport.

Stanley

Doors open at 3 p.m. July 4, with live entertainment, raffles, a cornhole tournament and more. A light show and fireworks are set to begin set to music at 10 p.m.

Stevens Point

The annual 4th of July Parade kicks off at 10 a.m. on July 4 through downtown. Fireworks will be at dusk July 5 as part of Riverfront Rendezvous which runs July 3-5 at Pfiffner Pioneer Park.

Tigerton

A block party begins at 1 p.m. July 4, with fireworks beginning at dusk. The event features music, food and more

Tomahawk

A 5K/10K race begins the day on July 4 at 8:30 a.m. A parade begins at 1 p.m. starting at St. Mary’s, finishing down Main Street, with fireworks starting at dusk at SARA Park or Kwahamot Bay.

Waupaca

A parade kicks off July 4 at 10 a.m. on North Main Street followed by a Knights of Columbus chicken bbq and burger lunch at 11 a.m. Chain Skiers will perform a water ski show at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks will be shot off over Shadow Lake at South Park at 9:30 p.m.

Wausau

Wausau Events welcomes people to the Wausau Airport beginning at 6 p.m. on July 4. Food and beverage vendors will be on site, and the fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m. rain or shine.

White Lake

On July 5th, the day begins at 7 a.m. with a possum chase and fireman’s breakfast. A parade starts at noon from the corner of Bissel Street and Church Street. Kids activities and live music will happen all afternoon, and fireworks begin at dusk over White Lake.

Wisconsin Rapids

Music from the Mill Creek Cowtippers will begin at 6 p.m. July 4 on 2nd St. between Grand Ave. and Jackson St. bridges. The Wisconsin Rapids City Band will perform outside of the Centralia Center, 220 Third Avenue South, starting at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. and may be viewed along most of the riverbank and downtown area.
