Speaking at a Nato summit in The Hague, US President Donald Trump told journalists that he is keen to acquire icebreakers from Finland.
A reporter from Ilta-Sanomat asked Trump how he sees Finland as a Nato partner and how he views his relationship with Finnish President Alexander Stubb. The two are both passionate golfers, and have played together in recent months.
"He's a very good golfer," Trump said in his response.
He continued by stating that he wants to buy icebreakers from Finland, and that he had made a semi-serious offer to buy one of the second hand vessels.
"I offered him about a third of the price he was asking," said Trump. "We're negotiating."
