Extreme heat warning issued for Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency said that the National Weather Service Boston issued an extreme heat warning for Rhode Island on Sunday.
The warning will be in effect until 8 p.m. on June 24.

Gov. Dan McKee said that all Rhode Islanders should take precautions to avoid the heat, including minimizing sun exposure and staying hydrated.
