Ohangwena Regional Governor Sebastian Ndeitunga has encouraged the parents of children from vulnerable communities, especially the San community, to ensure that their children remain in school while the government is trying by all means to provide them with basic necessities.

He made these remarks while receiving the First National Bank of Namibia's donation of food parcels, toiletries, and detergents valued at N$50,000.

Ndeitunga called on other corporate partners to emulate the FNB initiative to support the vulnerable San community in the region.

Ndeitunga also pointed out that the school dropout rate among the San community is high, and this cannot be attributed to hunger, as the government and partners are working together to provide meals.
