7 events you can check out the weekend June 13-15 across Wisconsin
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Here is a look at the 7 big events happening this weekend across Wisconsin.
Bluegrass at the Lake Festival
Get ready to groove in Wisconsin Rapids at the Bluegrass at the Lake Festival Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. Tickets are available at the gate if you’d like to hear the lineup of bluegrass and folk-centric bands. The festival takes place at the stone shelter by Red Sands Beach at South Wood County Park.
Minocqua Antique and Classic Boat Show
Friday and Saturday, check out some cool vessels at the Minocqua Antique and Classic Boat Show on Lake Minocqua at Torpy Park. Boat owners can kick back and relax, and talk to anyone interested in checking out their boats. The show starts at noon on Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. There will be food available for purchase, and live music each night.
Dairy Days
Enjoy free cheese, ice cream, milk, and grilled cheese sandwiches at Dairy Days at Feltz’s Dairy Store in Stevens Point. The fun starts Saturday at 11 a.m. There will also be activities for kids, like face painting and balloon animals.
11th annual Roofing of the Goats Parade and Festival
You can head up to Sister Bay in Door County Saturday for the 11th annual Roofing of the Goats Parade and Festival. The parade ends at Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant, where the first goats of the season will be let up onto the roof. After the goat parade, you can check out Al Johnson’s annual Goat Fest, which will feature all-day activities like live music, kids’ games, and a Swedish pancake eating contest. The parade starts at 11 a.m.
Door County Beer Festival
While you’re in the area Saturday, you can also check out the Door County Beer Festival at About Thyme Farm in Baileys Harbor. There will be more than 150 beers to sample from more than 45 midwestern craft breweries. While you sip, you can also enjoy live music and local food. General admission tickets cost $55.
38th annual Art Fair on the Courthouse Lawn
Check out some local art in Rhinelander at the 38th annual Art Fair on the Courthouse Lawn. Over 100 booths will be featured Saturday, giving you the chance to experience the creative spirit of the northwoods. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Flag Day Celebration
The Wausau Elks invite you to celebrate Flag Day Friday at 4 p.m. It’s happening at the Elks Lodge on Scott Street. The annual event honors the American flag, and will kick off the Community Cultures Festival weekend in Wausau. The event is open to the public and free to attend.
