Close to 100,000 people will be heading to Heaton Park this weekend for three days of live music and good vibes.

The 600-acre park, near Prestwich, will be hosting indie favourites Catfish and the Bottlemen on Friday evening (June 13) with Parklife then getting immediately underway on Saturday and Sunday (June 14 and 15).

This year’s festival will be headlined by 50 Cent and Charli XCX, with the likes of Jorja Smith, Confidence Man, Peggy Gou, Pawsa, Bicep, Chris Stussy and Flo also joining the line-up across the two days.

With the festival drawing in big crowds, most people are being advised to use public transport and shuttle buses to get to and from Parklife. There will also be a number of road closures in place around the site grounds, with some urgent travel warnings already issued ahead of the large-scale event.

As ever, the event will see an impact on traffic and travel and it's something that those living near to Heaton Park will want to particularly keep an eye out for. It is important to note that Soccer Aid and gigs from the likes of Chris Brown will also be taking place across Greater Manchester over the weekend too.
