Lewisburg music festival kicks off countdown to 100th state fair
The state fair will take place August 7-16, and the Wild Trails Festival will run from June 19-21.
GREENBRIER COUNTY, W.Va. (WVVA) - The mountain state is counting down for year 100 of the State Fair of West Virginia, and what better way to pass the time than with a brand-new music festival?
The Wild Trails Festival will run from June 19 to June 21, featuring artists including Treaty Oak Revival, Sam Barber, Avery Anna, and more.
Jonathan Collins, the special events manager for the state fair, explained that having big musical acts perform in Southern West Virginia is a major deal.
“Having grown up here, the state fair was always the place that I would look to, to bring in live music, especially super local to me, so now that I work here, it’s very important for us to really bring in big names and acts and our state fair lineup this year, we have some really good ones,” said Collins.
And as this historic centennial approaches, Collins said that the team is preparing and looking forward to an event filled with 100-watt smiles
“We have been planning and working on little special details for at least two years now, and its good seeing it all come to fruition. We are very excited to have as many people as possible on property and [we] really hope you enjoy it,” continued Collins.
The state fair will take place August 7 to 16.
