EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - The Wisconsin Department of Tourism announced that Eau Claire County set a new tourism record in 2024, generating $461 million. This marks a 0.6% increase from 2023 and the third consecutive year of growth.
Statewide, tourism hit an all-time high with a $25.8 billion economic impact.
The boost was driven by increased visitation and strategic tourism promotion across Wisconsin, including Eau Claire County.
“The continued growth in tourism spending reflects the incredible momentum we are seeing in Eau Claire County as a must-visit destination,” said Kenzi Havlicek, Executive Director of Visit Eau Claire.
In 2024, Wisconsin welcomed 114.4 million visitors, supporting 182,000 jobs statewide. Eau Claire County's tourism industry alone supported over 3,900 jobs and generated $31 million in tax revenue.
“Last year, Wisconsin tourism brought in more money, welcomed more visitors and generated more revenue for state and local governments than any other year,” said Anne Sayers, Wisconsin Department of Tourism Secretary.
Visit Eau Claire continues to promote the region through digital campaigns and partnerships, showcasing local attractions such as music festivals and riverside trails.
