Football: PHC Zebras & Somerset Trojans Win

The Bermuda Football Association’s Summer League Under-23 season continued with two matches at BAA Field.

PHC Zebras 5, Devonshire Colts 4

The PHC Zebras secured a 5-4 victory over the Devonshire Colts after overcoming a two-goal deficit.

Caleb McDowall scored for the PHC Zebras in the 10th minute, followed by an equalizer from Shane Robinson of the Devonshire Colts in the 12th minute. Joshua Joseph put the PHC Zebras ahead 2-1 in the 18th minute, a lead they held into halftime.

In the second half, Diego Richardson leveled the score for Devonshire Colts in the 46th minute. Daniel Ball gave the Colts a 3-2 lead in the 60th minute, and Robinson extended their lead to 4-2 in the 73rd minute with his second goal.

The PHC Zebras then mounted a comeback. Joseph scored his second goal in the 77th minute, and Harlem Bean-Fox equalized in the 80th minute. Zakiyah Lee scored the winning goal for the PHC Zebras in the 89th minute.

Somerset Trojans 3, Robin Hood 1

The Somerset Trojans defeated Robin Hood 3-1.

Rio Russell gave the Somerset Trojans a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute, which stood at halftime.

Sebastian Madeiros equalized for Robin Hood in the 57th minute. Jace Donowa restored the Somerset Trojans’ lead in the 71st minute. Kymani McNeil secured the victory for the Somerset Trojans with a goal in the 90th minute.
