Teen killed, another injured in northern Greece car crash

A 19-year-old man was killed and another seriously injured in a car accident Saturday night near Xanthi in northern Greece.
The crash occurred on the old Xanthi-Kavala national road near the village of Evmiro, when the vehicle, driven by the 19-year-old, veered off course and overturned under unclear circumstances, according to state broadcaster ERT.
Firefighters recovered the driver unresponsive from the wreckage. Both occupants were transported by ambulance to Xanthi General Hospital.
Three fire engines with seven firefighters responded to the scene, along with local police.
A traffic department investigation is underway to determine the cause.
