Rag'n'Bone Man has recalled an "insane" memory of his time in Liverpool as he is set to return to the northwest next weekend. The soul-pop artist will headline Forest Live at Delamere Forest next weekend.

The unique music festival will see huge names from the world of music take to the stage less than an hour away from Liverpool. Delamere Forest sits on the Cheshire Plain, nestled between Manchester, Liverpool and Chester.

The area also plays host to Forest Live, part of an annual series of live concerts which take place in forests across the UK. Organisers say the concert area at Delamere Forest is a natural amphitheatre.

Rory Graham, better known as Rag‘n’Bone Man, joins Gary Barlow, Snow Patrol, Busted and Blossoms to headline Delamere Forest next weekend.

Rag'n'Bone Man will headline on Sunday, June 15. He rose to fame in 2016 with his unique blend of hip-hop, traditional blues and his deep baritone singing style.

At his Forest Live fixture, fans can expect to hear hits like ‘Human’, ‘Giant’ and ‘Lovers In A Past Life’ set against a woodland backdrop. The singer has also revealed he will be performing new music during the concert. He will also be supported by award-winning songwriter Elles Bailey and rising star Kerr Mercer.

Rag'n'Bone Man shared some of his most memorable moments performing to "insane" Liverpool crowds. He even urged his team that they had to add a Liverpool date to his last tour.

Speaking to the ECHO, he said: "Last time we did a tour I'd spoken to my agent and said 'we haven't played in Liverpool or anywhere near Liverpool for a long time, we've got to put it on the tour.'

"I was so glad we did because that gig was honestly probably the best gig out of that whole tour. It was just incredible, it was a proper electric gig. The vibes and the crowd were insane."

He also recalled a few "wild" nights out with his friends in the city: "I've got quite few friends in Liverpool and I used to go up there quite a lot before I was even a musician really.

"So yeah I've got a few friends and I get to see them when I'm there which is always quite nice and I always end up on some kind of wild night out there."

The star is also known for his hits 'Giant' and 'Lovers in A Past Life', which he produced alongside Calvin Harris. The Scottish DJ is no stranger to the city, as he surprised fans by appearing as a special guest on the LFC parade bus for the second time. Rag'n'Bone man described Calvin as very "chill and zen" as the musicians worked closely on the hit tracks.

The Human singer is looking forward to coming up north again to perform at Forest Live. He shared: "It's going to be really cool, I've kind of got a bit of an affinity with playing up north and I always enjoy gigs that are up north."

Speaking about performing at Delamere, he said: "It's just a great setting, I like playing anywhere that's kind of outdoors amongst nature." He hopes fans will bring the "energy" for his setlist on Sunday June 15.
