Ethiopia Collaborates Closely with Brazil to Enhance Technology Transfer, Professional Dev’t

Addis Ababa, May 24, 2025 (ENA) – Ethiopia will closely collaborate with Brazil to facilitate technology transfer and enhance professional development, Deputy Prime Minister, Temesgen Tiruneh remarked.

Deputy PM Temesgen said on social media post today that “We visited several companies in São Paulo, Brazil, and held productive discussions.”

One of the key visits was to Embraer, a leading manufacturer of commercial, military, and agricultural aircraft.

On the occasion, the company expressed a strong interest in collaborating with institutions in Ethiopia’s aviation sector.

The delegation has also visited the São José dos Campos Technology Innovation Park, which supports start-ups and promotes innovative projects in the aerospace and technology sectors.

Ethiopia, which is advancing its digital transformation through initiatives like the Digital Ethiopia exhibition, is committed to partnering with similar institutions to drive innovation and technology-led development, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.

The Brazilian innovation park praised the Ethiopian government's focus on technology and innovation.

“We agreed on key areas of cooperation to support Ethiopia’s ongoing technological transformation and efforts in professional capacity building,” he pointed out.
