Ambassador Maurizio Antonini met for the first time bilaterally with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who gave him a warm welcome in his new post and expressed his gratitude for Italy's continued support to Kosovo, making express mention of the Italian contingent at Kfor, the largest among the national contingents that make up the NATO mission.
At the centre of the long and cordial conversation - the embassy reported in a note - were the recent internal political developments, the prospects for Kosovo's integration into the EU in the current regional context and possible initiatives to further strengthen the already excellent relations.
