Sir Rod Stewart certainly knows how to enjoy himself on tour, as footage emerged of him being escorted to his car by three bodyguards. The iconic 80 year old rocker appeared a little unsteady after a lively night out in Krakow, Poland, showing no signs of slowing down.

The star reportedly spent five hours at the bar following Arsenal's defeat to PSG, which he watched at Ronnie Drew's Irish Bar. Surrounded by fellow Brits, Sir Rod partied into the early hours, reminiscent of his youthful days.

The 'Maggie May' singer is said to have left the bustling venue at 1am, requiring some assistance to get back safely. He was aided by three bodyguards who guided him to his car once the partying had ended.

"Rod might be an octogenarian but he can still party like he's in his 20s," an insider revealed. "When he left he had to be steered out by his minders and was stumbling a bit.

"The punters in the bar loved it and were cheering for him," they added, speaking to The Sun. An onlooker mentioned that someone shouted "where's Penny? ," as Sir Rod climbed into his waiting vehicle, reports the Mirror.

Currently on his 'One Last Time' tour, Sir Rod, who is set to perform at Glastonbury next month, was in the Polish city as part of his itinerary. He has been making the most of his tour, with his wife Penny accompanying him.

Last month, Penny showed her support for her musician husband as he prepared for his tour in Copenhagen. The couple, including Loose Women star Penny, 54, shared a sweet moment, both donning matching outfits in a heartwarming photo.

The pair were seen enjoying each other's company once again, savouring the comforts of home at the Hotel d'Angleterre in Copenhagen. Both Sir Rod and Penny were spotted sipping on drinks in the stunning location, their hands entwined in a loving gesture.

Sir Rod was dressed casually in a thick cream jumper paired with grey chinos at the five-star hotel, his outfit completed with high-top white trainers and a silver chain bracelet. Penny complemented her rock star husband in a shirt of the same shade, her long blonde hair flowing freely.

Sir Rod's epic seven-month world tour will see him perform across Europe, North America and South America. He is set to make a pit stop at Glastonbury in June, despite revealing that performing at the music festival would come with a hefty price tag.

However, he insisted that the cost was worth it for the chance to play to fans on the iconic Worthy Farm. Speaking on TALKSport last November, he said: "It's a great honour."

He confessed: "It's going to cost me a fortune to do it – $300,000 (£236,832)."

Explaining the significant financial outlay, Rod added: "I've got to bring all my band back from America, of course Glastonbury don't pay for that. But I don't care if it cost me $1million (£789,440), I would have done it. This is a great honour. It really is the greatest honour."

The Mirror has reached out to Sir Rod's representatives for comment.
