POATE 2025 Gears Up for a Bigger, Bolder Tourism Showcase at Speke Resort Munyonyo

The Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) 2025 is officially on track and promises to be the most exciting edition yet. Scheduled for 21st to 24th May 2025 at Speke Resort Munyonyo, this year’s event brings together a dynamic mix of culture, business, and entertainment under one roof with 3 exhibition halls, 4 major conferences and panel sessions, and a grand open festival on the final day.

With 300 exhibitors, 5 cultural villages, and over 2,000 delegates expected, POATE 2025 will also host 100 international buyers and 25 globally acclaimed speakers and motivators. The event kicks off with a cocktail for hosted buyers and special guests on 20th May, followed by a Ministerial Conference and welcome dinner on the 21st. Key highlights include the Tourism Investment Forum and Destination Marketing Symposium, while the 24th will be open to the public with music concerts, a food expo, boat regatta, and cultural showcases.

Hosted buyers will begin arriving from 11th May, greeted at the airport by the POATE team. Delegates are encouraged to come as they are dressed for the tropical but sometimes rainy Ugandan May weather and prepare to discover Uganda through curated familiarization (Fam) trips exploring its people, wildlife, food, and scenic beauty.

With set-up beginning a day before the event, exhibitors are encouraged to put their best foot forward, while all guests are promised learning, networking, and a full experience of Uganda’s tourism potential. The POATE team pledges more updates in the lead-up to the event and invites all stakeholders to stay connected.
