The Salish Sea Early Music Festival retirms fpr the May 3 performance, “Musique De La Chambre of Louis XIV.”

It will be a great honor to feature Ukrainian harpsichordist Olena Zhukova, a tireless and fearless ambassador of Ukrainian culture, at a future date. She conuniues to work on her Visa. Zhukove reflects the vibrancy of baroque performance practice in Ukraine and enlightens our musical perspective. Her colleague and good friend Olena Kohut was killed in a Russian strike on Plam Sunday Morning. Kohut was a treasured soloist, organist and keyboardist for the Sumy Regional Philharmonic in Ukraine, as well as a beloved teacher and pianist with the Shchepkin Theater in Sumy.

Musicians include:

· Caroline Nicolas, viola da gamba.

· William Simms, theorbo and baroque guitar.

· Jeffrey Cohan, baroque and renaissance flutes.

“Musique De La Chambre of Louis XIV” will take place at the St. David’s Episcopal Church, 780 Park Street in Friday Harbor.
