LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bourbon & Beyond was named Pollstar's Music Festival of the Year, announced Monday.

The 36th annual Pollstar Awards have recognized and supported live entertainment businesses' most innovative companies, venues, artists, tours and executives, according to a news release.

“Danny and his team put on a world class festival. From an artist’s perspective, I can feel the love and intention they put into every step of the process. It is zero surprise to me that they won Festival of The Year,” Patrick Hallahan with My Morning Jacket, who performed at the festival last year, said in a news release.

The music festival put on by Danny Wimmer Presents brought in a record 210,000 people over four days in 2024 -- a 75% increase over 2023 attendance. Organizers said the 60,000 people who attended Saturday of the festival marked the largest single day for a music festival in Kentucky history.

"This award belongs to every single person who has supported Bourbon & Beyond along the way, and we are honored to be in a category with icons like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Stagecoach, Austin City Limits  and BottleRock," Wimmer said in a news release. "Our fans are the heart and soul of this festival, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you all this September."

Earlier this month, a 10-year deal was reached with Kentucky Venues to continue Louisville's Bourbon and Beyond and Louder Than Life music festivals.

This year, Bourbon and Beyond is happening at the Highland Festival Grounds Sept. 11-14.
