A new music festival will be held on Sauchiehall Street later this month as part of a bid to reenergise the city street.
The Sauchiehall Street Music Day is being put on by the Sauchiehall Street: Culture and Heritage District, with two live music stages showcasing artists from 1pm to 6pm on Saturday, April 26.
Glasgow’s vibrant and diverse music scene will be celebrated with live performances from local bands, programmed by Nice N Sleazy, students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and musicians from Garnethill who were brought together by Samhuinn Watt.
The Sauchiehall Street Stage will be positioned by Cambridge Street, while there will also be a Garnethill Park stage.
The Sauchiehall Street Stage will see Paisley artist Kitti joined by Sòlas Ensemble, Jura Brass, Sean Choon, Duncan Ricthie and Rae Maciver as well as Tina Sandwich.
Mischa MacPherson with Anna Massie, Kejadenn Alba, Kurdish singer Adnan Shamdin, Gaelic band GLAN and Helena de Rijke will all take to the Garnethill Park Stage too.
