
Kazakhstan Launches New Industrial Zone In Shymkent To Attract Global Investments
At the industrial zone, which houses 33 companies with a total investment of 44.5 billion tenge (approximately $84.5 million), Tokayev was briefed on the ongoing projects. These include nine investment initiatives that have created approximately 800 new jobs.
The president visited an exhibition showcasing products from various sectors, including light industry, machine engineering, construction, and furniture manufacturing.
He was also updated on the development of the Aksa Enerji Üretim
A.Ş. combined-cycle power plant, which has an investment value of
350 billion tenge (approximately $665 million).
Furthermore, Tokayev visited the production line at Asia Trafo, a
factory that produces autotransformers, power oil transformers, and
reactors, which are exported to CIS countries.
