Coachella 2025: 10 queer acts you really need to see, from Trixie Mattel to Green Day

The Coachella 2025 line-up this year is full of queerness! From Trixie Mattel to Green Day, here are 10 LGBTQ+ favourites you won’t want to miss at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

Lady Gaga is top of the bill both weekends (11-13 and 18-20 April), in what will be the ‘Abracadabra’ singer’s second headline set at the festival.

Coachella has a great history when it comes to platforming LGBTQ+ artists. Frank Ocean was the first out LGBTQ+ man to headline in 2023, and Billie Eilish headlined a year earlier. Festival-goers have also seen the likes of boygenius, Ethel Cain, and Christine and the Queens.

We’ve taken a look through the 2025 line-up to pick out some fo the best acts.


Clairo

The bisexual indie-pop artist recently toured the US and Europe as part of her Charm tour and doesn’t care about labels.


Japanese Breakfast

Michelle Zauner is the bisexual force behind the band. Peter Bradley joins her on guitar, with Deven Craige on bass. Drummer Craig Hendrix, who also plays keyboards, completes the line-up.


Green Day

You don’t have to wait until September Ends but, despite being veterans on the music scene, Green Day are only now about to make their debut on the Coachella stage.


Beabadobee

The singer is returning to Coachella, having first appeared in 2022.


Arca

This trans musician from Venezuela uses her music to explore concepts like gender identity and celebrate queerness.


Hope Tala

This queer British singer-songwriter blends R&B, Latin, neo-soul and bossa nova influences into one smooth sound.

Everybody’s favourite skinny legend, Trixie is getting people fired up for her DJ set with a cover of “Supermodel (You Better Work)”, with Vincint, due out on Friday (11 April).


Coco & Breezy

Twins Corianna and Brianna Dotson not only created their own brand of eyewear, but the are also DJs and producers.


Underscores

April Harper Grey, aka Underscores, has been hailed as “one of the most captivating and fascinating voices in queer alternative electronic music”.


Desiree

A Black South African intersex woman, Desiree is well-known in the afro tech and electro party scene.
