The supper will be held on Saturday at 5 p.m. at 163 Main St. The menu includes chicken pie, mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots, peas, cranberry sauce, and apple crisp, for $13.
Seating will be in the refurbished dining room, which is accessed from the Mitchell Street entrance. The elevator entrance is also on Mitchell Street. Takeout will be available at 5:30 p.m. and messages may be left on the church phone at 364-8603. — Carol, Mexico
ANSWER: Congratulations on your recovery from the flood and for all the hard work you’ve done to get these public suppers back.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Heywood Club on Crockett Ridge in Norway is going to sell 200 calendars at $10 each. This will be a Spring Garden Calendar with most daily drawings related to gardening. We will also include several Dollar Days with values from $25 to $100.
We are having this extra fundraiser to help cover the cost of replacing the main beam on the back side of the club, which has finally given way to age. The construction of the building was finished in 1907 and has lasted all these years, but now time has taken its toll.
We help our neighborhood and community in several ways, such as giving a $1200.00 donation to the Dominic Dumont Scholarship Fund from our Lights of Love fundraiser this past December.
If you would like a calendar, please call Barbara Townsend at 890-2103 or Beth Abbott at 461-2334.
And please do not forget our Seven Mile Yard Sale that will be held Saturday, June 14. We already have some great items for this year’s sale. — No name, Norway
ANSWER: The Heywood Club is the oldest organization in Norway and is loved and respected for all the work they do to help the community. They are known for the Lights of Love Christmas fundraiser, their magnificent summer yard sale, and so much more. Check them out and participate in their good deeds!

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
