Temperatures will remain unseasonably low on Wednesday, with rain and thunderstorms expected in parts of the country.

According to Greece’s National Meteorological Service (EMY), light snowfall is also forecast in the mountainous regions of Central Greece, the Peloponnese, and Crete.

Winds will blow from the north at 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale, reaching up to 6 in the seas and locally up to 7 in the southeast by the afternoon.

Temperatures will stay below seasonal averages, ranging from 12 to 13°C in the north and 14 to 16°C in other areas. Frost is expected during the early morning and evening hours in Macedonia, Thrace, and Epirus.

A gradual temperature increase is forecast to begin on Thursday.
