The new Polyvinyl Chloride, PVC and Polyolefins extrusion facility, located on the premises of SLB OneSubsea, will supply PVC profiles for subsea cables, a component of the SLB OneSubsea Umbilical design.
“By establishing our plastic extrusion facility in Mobile, we are not only strengthening our collaboration with OneSubsea, but also contributing to the region’s thriving industrial sector,” said PrimoCEO Claus Tonnesen. “We look forward to growing our presence here and creating new opportunities for innovation in the oil and gas industry.”
Primo develops and produces extruded profiles for the medical industry, for transportation, building, offshore, energy, white goods, power and lighting and for a broad range of other industries. The company currently operates twelve production sites in Europe.
“The collaboration between OneSubsea and Primo highlights Mobile’s ability to attract global investment and foster innovation. This project strengthens our industrial base, supports critical supply chains for the energy sector, and creates new opportunities for economic growth in our community,” noted Mobile Chamber President and CEO Bradley Byrne.
