HYDERABAD: Brihaspathi Technologies, a Hyderabad-based IT solutions and services provider, has deployed its CCTV cameras along the country's borders with Bangladesh and India and Pakistan.
"After Sheikh Hasina resigned in Bangladesh, we installed CCTV cameras to monitor sensitive areas along the border. These cameras capture any suspicious activities or objects simultaneously, allowing agencies to respond immediately instead of spending hours reviewing footage," Brihaspathi Technologies managing director Rajasekhar Papolu said.
Going beyond conventional security, it has integrated artificial intelligence (AI) into their CCTV camera systems.
Borders apart, the company has also enabled monitoring of key events of national importance such as the Lok Sabha elections, where over one lakh cameras were deployed across various polling booths to ensure smooth and secure elections.
The company also deployed its AI-enabled CCTV cameras at the Mahakumbh, touted as one of the largest religious gatherings anywhere in the world. It deployed over 4,000 cameras there to ensure safety and order during the massive religious gathering running into crores of people.
So far, it has installed around 10 lakh CCTV cameras across the country.
From assembling and supplying CCTV cameras, the company is now looking at setting up its own manufacturing unit for which it has sought 20 acres of land from the Telangana govt with an eye on emerging as one of India's leading indigenous manufacturers of surveillance cameras.
"Until now, most companies have been sourcing parts from countries like Vietnam. Our goal is to reverse that trend. We have already installed over a million cameras across India, incorporating video analytics and edge analytics for a more tailored security experience."
