A ‘devastated’ FKA Twigs has had to pull out of the Coachella festival due to visa issues, which have also forced her to reschedule more Eusexua tour dates.
Last month, the 37-year-old singer postponed US shows after she said an error meant visa ‘paperwork’ was not submitted in time.
She then wrote this morning that she will not perform at both weekends of Coachella in Indio, California, later this month and Axe Ceremonia in Mexico City on Sunday.
Now, Ed Sheeran has come to the rescue at the last moment to fill the schedule slot that FKA Twigs, real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett, left.
The Perfect singer, 34, will play the second weekend of the festival, while Weezer will perform the first in place of Anitta and Gel who also cancelled.
They join the likes of Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott at the event which sees thousands of music fans flock to Indio every year.

Coachella 2024 saw the return of legendary 80s rock band No Doubt as well as headline performances from Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, and Tyler, The Creator.
Announcing the news of her cancellation, Twigs took to social media to share a statement promising to reschedule her planned dates.

‘I’m devastated to share the news that due to ongoing visa issues I am not able to see through any of my scheduled tour dates for the remainder of April across North America, including Ceremonia and Coachella,’ she wrote.
‘It pains me to say this because I am so excited to bring you a creation that I have poured my soul into and believe is amongst my strongest work and I know this news impacts so many of you that have already made plans and spent money in order to see these shows.
‘I promise that I am working to reschedule the affected dates as quickly as possible.’

She added to ticketholders: ‘For headline shows, please refer to your point of purchase for details and refund information.
‘Back to you all with more updates as soon as I have them — in the meantime here are some of my favourite parts of the show that we worked so hard to create.’
Twigs – real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett – was due to be at the Knockdown Centre in New York and the Bill Graham Civic Centre in San Francisco in April.
She is also set for performances at the Spanish festival Primavera Sound and Chicago’s Salt Shed in June.
The singer, who was previously a backing dancer before making her own musical debut in 2012, just completed the UK and Europe leg of her tour in London on March 22.

She has also rescheduled the first two dates of the tour in Prague and Berlin, citing ‘shipping issues’ as the reason.
The tour comes after the singer released her third studio album, Eusexua, in January, which peaked at number three on the UK albums chart.
Cheltenham-born Twigs isn’t the first act to withdraw from the Coachella lineup.
Last month, beloved Brazilian singer Anitta, 31, confirmed that she can no longer perform due to ‘unexpected’ personal issues.

Issuing a message to her followers, the Mi Amor hitmaker wrote: ‘I was really looking forward to being at Coachella this year, but due to unexpected personal reasons, I won’t be able to perform.
‘I’m truly grateful to the festival for the invitation, their understanding, and continued support.’
The two-time Grammy nominee added: ‘I hope to have the opportunity to join you all in the future and share that special moment together.’
It would have been her third year performing at Coachella, as she was due to take to the stage on both Saturday lineups.
