Accra, April 3, GNA – The fourth edition of the West Africa Pharma Healthcare Exhibition is set to take place from May 6-8, at the Accra International Conference Centre, offering an extensive platform to advance healthcare solutions in Ghana and the West African region.
According to an official press release issued the Ghana News Agency, it is being organised by Astrovision Global FZCO Dubai and ACE Group, under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The exhibition aims to enhance healthcare access, promote innovation, and strengthen health infrastructure through international partnerships.
With the theme: “E-Pharmacy & Digital Health”, this year’s event will highlight emerging technologies and digital solutions in healthcare, emphasising their role in improving service delivery and patient outcomes.
The platform will bring together more than 100 exhibitors from across the world, including India, Turkey, the United States, Egypt, and Italy.
It will showcase pharmaceutical products, medical diagnostics, hospital equipment, laboratory solutions, and digital health innovations.
The press release stated that a key aspect of the exhibition was its role in addressing critical health challenges by introducing advanced medical solutions to Ghanaian and West African health professionals.
It noted that the event aligned with the government’s commitment to modernising healthcare and strengthening national health policies.
It emphasised that by embracing e-pharmacy and digital health, Ghana could bridge healthcare gaps, enhance telemedicine services, and expand access to essential medicines, especially in remote communities.
The event will feature a series of expert-led seminars and conferences, focusing on leveraging digital healthcare to combat prevalent diseases, improve pharmaceutical distribution, and enhance emergency medical response systems.
Pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and policymakers will deliberate on the benefits of integrating e-health services into the country’s medical framework.
The use of digital platforms in pharmacy services is expected to ensure quick access to medications, while curbing the distribution of counterfeit drugs, a growing concern in West Africa.
As part of its impact, the exhibition will facilitate training sessions for healthcare professionals, introducing them to cutting-edge medical technologies and enhancing their capacity to deliver quality care.
Experts will demonstrate the latest advancements in diagnostics, telemedicine, and pharmaceutical automation to equip local practitioners with global best practices.
Additionally, the event is expected to contribute to Ghana’s health sector by encouraging collaboration between local healthcare providers and international manufacturers, fostering knowledge exchange, and improving access to quality medical supplies.
The exhibition is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors, including policymakers, industry experts, and health workers, positioning Ghana as a key player in the advancement of pharmaceutical and medical innovations in West Africa.
