ORGANIZERS AND VENDORS ABOUT WHAT TO EXPECT. THE MYRIAD GARDENS WILL BE IN FULL BLOOM THIS WEEKEND FOR THEIR ANNUAL TULIP FESTIVAL. 55,000 TULIPS WILL CREATE A BEAUTIFUL BACKDROP FOR THIS WEEKEND’S FESTIVAL, BRING THE FAMILY, BRING THE PETS. ORGANIZERS SAY THIS WEEKEND YOU CAN ENJOY MORE THAN 80 VENDORS, FOOD TRUCKS AND LIVE MUSIC. I HAVE THREE. PERFORMANCE STAGES THIS YEAR, SO WE’LL HAVE LIVE MUSIC GOING ON THE DEVIN LAWN ON THE WATER STAGE, AND THEN OVER IN OUR SEASONAL PLAZA. RHONDA FERGUSON WITH CURBSIDE FLOWERS AND APPAREL, IS JUST ONE OF THE VENDORS THAT WILL BE AT THE FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND. AND SHE SAYS THIS EVENT HAS MAJOR IMPACTS ON SMALL BUSINESSES AND THE COMMUNITY TO GET TO ENGAGE WITH THE COMMUNITY ON THIS LEVEL. WE WERE PART OF THIS EVENT LAST YEAR AND THERE WERE TRULY THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES THAT GOT TO COME OUT AND ENJOY THIS BEAUTIFUL WEATHER, THIS FREE EVENT. THE FESTIVAL WILL BE OPEN FROM 9 A.M. TO 6 P.M. BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. ORGANIZERS SAY PARKING CAN GET HECTIC, SO HAVE A PLAN BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. JUST PLAN AHEAD. USE THE STREET CAR. THERE’S LOTS OF WAYS TO PARK AND GET HERE WITHOUT HAVING TO WALK A SUPER LONG WAY. AND THEY ALSO ASK ONCE THE EVENT IS OVER, FOR THE PUBLIC NOT TO PULL TULIPS OUT OF THE GROUN

Ranya Forgotson, with Curbside Flowers and Apparel, is just one of the vendors that will be at the festival. She told KOCO 5 that the festival has major impacts on small businesses and the community." "It's amazing to get to come out and engage with the community on this level," Forgotson said. Organizers said parking can get hectic, so have a plan before arriving. "Plan ahead. Use the streetcar. There's lots of ways to get here and park without having to walk a super long way," Aldridge said. Officials also ask the public not to pull tulips out of the ground once the festival is over.
