According to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office, Jada Mya Wise, 22, was taken into custody back on March 16. Information about the case was released Thursday on the department's Facebook page.

Authorities say a deputy saw Wise discharging a handgun from her vehicle as she drove. The incident happened around 2 a.m. on Highway 378 at Cherryvale Drive.
A felony traffic stop was performed, during which Wise reportedly confessed to the crime.
No injuries were reported.
She was charged with public disorderly conduct.
