Festival of Sankirtana & Folk Dance held

Kha Manipur Hindutani Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Kakching under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Government of India and National School of Drama, New Delhi organised "Festival of Sankirtana & Folk Dance, 2025" at MMS Genius Academy, Kakching today.
The event was attended by Pradhan Guru, Sangeet Academy Kakching and JN Manipur Dance Academy visiting Guru, Ksh Godadhar as chief guest and President, Executive Committee Kha Manipur Hindustani Sangeet Mahavidyalaya Kakching, Y Nilachandra, Principal, MMS Genius Academy Kakching and Vice-president, Kha Manipur Hindustani Sangeet Mahavidyalay Kakching, Ksh Ranjan and Principal of the Mahavidyalaya, N Indumkhi as functional presidents.
Speaking at the occasion, secretary, Kha Manipur Hindustani Sangeet Mahavidyalaya Kakching N Rameshwar emphasized the importance of learning cultural activities besides education.
He stated that pursuing the beautiful cultures of Manipur like Nat Sankirtana, traditional dances, and others as a profession can also lead to being a successful person in life.
"It is fortunate enough for us that the Government has launched such an initiative for the welfare of the students," stated Rameshwar.
He also lauded the members of the Mahavidyalaya for their dedication and support in organising such events.
At the event, various performances on Sankirtana Nupa Pala (Kartal Cholom), Maibi Jagoi, Sankirtana Nupi Pala, etc were also showcased and enthralled the audience.
