SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The City of Sioux Falls will celebrate Earth Month with two festivals focused on protecting our natural resources.

“Parks and Recreation understands the critical connection between the health of our community and the health of our planet,” Bryan Peterson, Urban Forestry Specialist, said.

The Earth Day Festival kicks things off on April 18 at Great Bear Recreation Park, featuring nature activities and a scavenger hunt.

On April 27, the Urban Arbor Day Festival at Pasley Park will highlight the importance of trees with live demos and vendors.

Both events are free and family-friendly.
