Music lovers in Keynsham will be singing with joy as the town’s popular Good Afternoon Choir prepares to headline a summer concert – with a little help from a flock of musical friends.
The group will perform at St John’s Church on Friday, July 4, joined by special guests Black Sheep Harmony, a dynamic female A Cappella ensemble from Bristol.
The evening concert forms part of this year’s Keynsham Music Festival and begins at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £10 and will be available in the coming weeks via gac.ticketlight.co.uk, through choir members, or on the door.
Grenville Jones, founder of the Good Afternoon Choir, said: “This will be a very special concert as part of the Festival. Black Sheep Harmony are a dynamic female A Cappella voice group from Bristol. So why not join us for a wonderful evening of song.”
The Keynsham Good Afternoon Choir is one of 35 across the West of England, south Wales and London. Led by John Hare, the 50-strong community choir rehearses every Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm at Keynsham Methodist Church Victoria Centre. The group welcomes new singers without the need for auditions.
