Grand Ole Opry inductee and 10-time International Bluegrass Music Association Entertainer of the Year, the Del McCoury Band will grace the stage of the historic Paramount Bristol, headlining WBCM Radio Bristol’s Farm and Fun Time show at 7 p.m. April 10.

Seth Mulder and Midnight Run, a progressive bluegrass outfit out of Gatlinburg, round out the bill. Show host Kris Truelsen and his Farm and Fun Time House Band will preside over the festivities, serving up their own flavor of foot-stompin’ rhythm and roots.

Even among the pantheon of music’s finest artists, Del McCoury stands alone. From the nascent sound of bluegrass that charmed hardscrabble hillbilly honky-tonks, rural schoolhouse stages and the crowning glory of the Grand Ole Opry to the present-day culture buzz of viral videos and digital streams, Del McCoury is the living link. From headlining sold-out concerts to music festivals of all genres, including his own DelFest, to appearances on late night talk shows, Del admirers are as diverse as country-rock icon Steve Earle and jam band royalty Phish. With sons Ronnie and Rob, Del’s ensemble continues to represent a larger, growing musical community. While amassing a loyal, multigenerational fan base, Del is a peerless torchbearer for the entire scope of bluegrass music and a national treasure.

Born in the holler of Tennessee’s first legal moonshine distillery, Seth Mulder and Midnight Run blend tradition with innovation through genuine songwriting and tasteful arrangements, bringing to life their original music and lost covers like no other in the genre. Combining elements of bluegrass, country and folk music, their sound resonates with traditional and contemporary audiences alike.

Kris Truelsen has spent the better part of two decades touring across the country, honing his craft as a songwriter and performer. With his latest project fronting the Farm and Fun Time House Band, he leans into the rock ’n’ roll side of country music. It’s rowdy, loose and unmistakably Kris. The band features an all-star lineup including Nick Lawrence (guitar), Rebecca Branson Jones (pedal steel), Sarah Griffin (bass) and Levi Trent (drums).

Tickets to Farm and Fun Time range from $56.75 to $96.57 (prices include all applicable fees and taxes) and may be purchased online through the Events page at BirthplaceOfCountryMusic.org, at ParamountBristol.org or through the Paramount Bristol box office.
