Event Info - Amidst the solemn atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan 1445 H, the courtyard of Cut Meutia Mosque in Menteng, Central Jakarta, was once again enlivened by the presence of the 14th Ramadhan Jazz Festival (RJF). This Islamic-themed music festival, which has been an icon since 2011, was held for two days on March 14-15, 2025. However, RJF is not just an entertainment stage. From the beginning, this festival has always carried a strong social mission-this year, the proceeds from ticket sales were allocated for the revitalization of several mosques and the renovation of prayer rooms in the Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta) area.

The warm atmosphere was strengthened by the presence of figures who showed their support for this festival. Among those present were the Dutch Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr. Marc Gerritsen; the European Union Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr. Denis Chaibi; and Ms. Rut Krger Giverin, the Norwegian Ambassador to Indonesia. They joined national figures such as Benny Suprihartadi, Chairperson of the Cut Meutia Mosque Foundation; Agus Setiawan Basuni, Founder of Wartajazz; and Muhammad Ridho Dafiutomo, Chairperson of the Islamic Youth of Cut Meutia Mosque. This cultural and religious fusion is evidence of how RJF is able to embrace diversity in the spirit of Ramadan.

Carrying the theme "Our Time Is Now", RJF this year called on the younger generation to take a more active role in creating positive changes in their surroundings. Several renowned musicians livened up the festival. On the first day, the RJF stage was filled with the melodious voice of Salma Salsabil, the energetic performance of Pendarra, and the fresh rhythms of HIVI and Rafi Sudirman. While on the second day, the atmosphere was even more lively thanks to the performances of Kunto Aji, Nabilla Taqiyyah, Wijaya 80, Nadhif Basalamah, and Burgundy.

According to Muhammad Ridho Dafiutomo, the Ramadhan Jazz Festival is a form of creative dakwah that combines music as a medium for delivering peaceful and tolerant Islamic messages. "Music is a universal language. Through RJF, we want to show that Islam highly values the principles of friendship and diversity," he said.

Since its first edition, RJF has never been separated from the spirit of sharing. Last year, for example, all proceeds from the festival ticket sales were channeled to help the Palestinian community. This year, the concern continued with a focus on the renovation of mosques and prayer rooms in Jabodetabek, bringing tangible benefits to the surrounding community.

The Ramadhan Jazz Festival is not just about music and festivity, but also about building meaningful collaborative spaces in the month of Ramadan. This spirit is expected to continue growing and inspiring more parties to participate in social actions in the future.
