Michigan Wolverines new phenom prospect Bryce Underwood has told LeBron James that his Ohio State are in for a rough few years new that he's joined their biggest rivals.
The nation's top-ranked quarterback recruit is the first-ever five-star prospect at the position to join Michigan, where he will hope to start from his rookie season. Underwood has already turned heads at Michigan's camp when he stepped on to the practice field, with fans being amazed by his physical stature - standing at 6-foot-4 and 210 lbs at the age of 17.
And Underwood has already shown fans his confidence, while sending a message to Michigan's biggest rivals and arguably their biggest fan, in LeBron James.
Underwood has already had conversations with James, admitting that he is a huge fan of his. But in those talks, the quarterback told him that he's ready to take over college football.
Speaking on the Rich Eisen show: "I grew up a Lebron James fan. I had a Miami Heat jersey, I had a Cleveland jersey, you know all that."
Underwood says he and James chatted for a while before he told him: "Just to let you know, I go to Michigan.” James responded: "Aww, yeah?” as Underwood said: "Oh yeah... It’s over for Ohio State.”

In high school, Underwood scored an incredible 141 touchdowns to just seven interceptions in his three years as a starter, dominating with both his huge arm and athleticism.
Despite his exciting upside though, it is not a foregone conclusion that Underwood will start in his freshman year, with Michigan bringing in former UCF and Fresno State starter Mikey Keene - who is currently projected to be the starter for the 2025 season. Underwood will have to win that spot off of him throughout the preseason, while joining up with his team for the first time in just a few months.
Underwood is already projected to be the first overall draft pick once he becomes eligible to the NFL in 2028, hoping to bring Big Blue a championship, after they had won on in 2024 with Jim Harbaugh and JJ McCarthy.
