'Hamilton' to return to Ohio Theatre. Don't miss your shot to get tickets

"Hamilton" turns 10 this year, and Broadway in Columbus is celebrating by bringing the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical back to town for the third time.

Those hoping to see the Broadway blockbuster should hightail it to buy tickets, which are being snatched up faster than a speeding bullet. (Just a little "Hamilton" humor!)

Lin-Manuel Miranda's multigenre saga detailing the life and death of founding father Alexander Hamilton will return to the Ohio Theatre, 39 E. State St., offering 16 performances from July 8-20.

"Hamilton" will return to the Ohio Theatre from July 8-20 for its third run since 2019. Tickets are on sale at broadwayincolumbus.com.

Showtimes will be at 7:30 p.m. July 8-11, July 15-18; 2 and 8 p.m. July 12, July 19; and 1 and 7 p.m. July 13, July 20.

Tickets start at $69, available at broadwayincolumbus.com, by calling 614-469-0939 or visiting the CAPA Ticket Center at the Ohio Theatre. There is a nine-ticket limit per account.

There also will be a lottery for 40 seats for $10 each at all performances. Details will be announced closer to the engagement.

During its first multiweek run in Columbus in 2019, "Hamilton" played to sold-out crowds, with nearly 67,000 theatergoers turning out for the work that launched songwriter-actor Miranda into the public eye.

Attendance numbers for the show's 2022 return weren't readily available, but at the time, as many patrons were expected to flock to the 24 performances as they did three years before.

Since its Broadway debut, "Hamilton" has achieved numerous wins. In addition to the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the musical received 11 Tony Awards out of 16 nominations, six Olivier Awards, a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.
