Widespread Panic fans won't have to wait long to see their favorite musicians perform in Birmingham. The Georgia jam band will perform two shows at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC on Feb. 16-17, promoter Red Mountain Entertainment has announced.

Tickets go on sale Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster, priced at $61.50-$65.50 for reserved seats, $65.50 for general admission spots in the pit.

These concerts continue a longtime tradition of the band scheduling multiple dates in the Birmingham area, at venues such as the BJCC, 2100 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. North, and Oak Mountain Ampitheatre in Pelham.

Widespread Panic made its most recent appearance here in July as a headliner at the 2017 Sloss Music & Arts Festival. Devoted fans, known as Spreadheads, packed the rain-soaked site at Sloss Furnaces and were treated to a freewheeling two-hour show that ranged from "Old Neighborhood" to "Climb to Safety."

The band's current agenda includes three sold-out shows at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Dec. 29-31; four sold-out shows during a vacation weekend at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Jan. 26-29; three shows at The Theater at MGM National Harbor in Washington, D.C., March 15-17; and two shows at the Wanee Music Festival in Live Oak, Fla., April 19-21.
