China remained the leading supplier, accounting for 861,200 phones – about 182,000 of which were imported in April. Chinese-made phones constituted 75.2% of Uzbekistan’s total mobile phone imports during the first four months of the year.
Vietnam ranked second, exporting 237,600 phones to Uzbekistan, including 61,800 units in April. Vietnamese devices made up 20.7% of the total imports from January to April, with April alone accounting for 23.8%.
Imports from the United Arab Emirates continued to grow. In the first four months of 2025, Uzbekistan received 31,100 phones from the UAE, representing 2.7% of total imports. Notably, 15,600 of those units were delivered in April – matching the volume imported over the previous three months combined.
Meanwhile, imports from India remained relatively low. Only around 700 phones were imported in April, and 15,200 since the beginning of the year. Combined imports from all other countries during this period amounted to roughly 800 units.
For context, Uzbekistan officially imported 4.2 million mobile phones in 2024, a nearly 25% increase compared to the previous year. Imports from Vietnam more than doubled, while those from India tripled over the same period.
