July 4th has passed, but fireworks are still happening in NJ. Here's where

As New Jersey transitions to a post-pandemic world, towns were eager to resume their treasured July 4th traditions. Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn't fully cooperate.

Some towns say they will still celebrate the holiday with fireworks in the days to come. 

Please check town websites or the information sources listed before heading out.

Bergen County 

Fireworks in Bergenfield — New date

A family fun night with fireworks has been rescheduled for July 8 at 6 p.m. (fireworks at 9:15 p.m.) at Veterans Memorial Park. Live music begins at 6 p.m., and there will be food to enjoy. Check the Bergenfield website for updates.

Garfield fireworks — New date 

Garfield fireworks have been rescheduled for Sept. 10. Check the GarfieldFacebook page for updates. 

Fireworks in Lyndhurst — New date 

The Independence Day celebration has been rescheduled for Sept 6.   Check the township's website for more information and updates.

Passaic County 

Fireworks in West Milford — New date 

West Milford’s fireworks will light up the sky on July 9 at the field behind West Milford High School (67 Highlander Drive). The celebration gets going at 6 p.m. and will feature music, food, and entertainment for the whole family. There is a $10 entry fee per car. More information: 973-728-2860.

Essex County 

Fireworks in Brookdale County Park and Weequahic County Park — New dates

The fireworks spectacular at Brookdale Park has been postponed until July 9 at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks at Weequahic Park has been rescheduled to Aug.11 at 7:30 p.m.Check essexcountynj.org for updates.

Morris County 

Jefferson Township fireworks

The annual Jefferson Fest is back this year starting at 5 p.m. July 10 and going until 11 p.m.

Morris County:Business saves Parsippany's 2021 fireworks with a $75,000 donation

The night will feature music, food trucks, and fireworks (scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m.). The festival will take place at Jefferson Township High School (1010 Weldon Road) and admission is free.
