You've done three weeks of the school summer holidays and you've survived. Well done!

But if you're stuck for ideas on how to keep the little darlings amused until September, we've made the job of finding some activities to keep them busy even easier for you.

1. Let them escape from reality

2. Become a Ninja for the day

This is Wales' first indoor obstacle course and has put the fun back into fitness with an adrenaline-fuelled playground in the form of an obstacle course - Ninja Warrior style!

3. See Scouting for Girls at Snowdonia Outdoor Festival

Where: Bala, Gwynedd

A three-day fiesta of live music and outdoor sports where pop rockers Scouting for Girls, the Lightning Seeds and Toploader are set to headline.

The sporting events include a range of legendary trail runs, open water swims on the lake, a mountain bike challenge and an iconic road bike sportive.

4. Learn about astronomy at Solarsphere

A brand new event combining the science of astronomy with the backdrop of a music festival. 5. Listen to some jazz

Where: Venues in Brecon

When: August 11-13

It’s one of the biggest musical events of the year and the Brecon Jazz festival is a celebration of all things jazz. If your kids are musical, they will love wandering around the market town and soaking up the atmosphere.

6. Get in training for the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k Junior Races

If the children are particularly active, they could get in training for one of the junior races at the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k this September.

It means they can keep fit and take in some breathtaking scenery - from the city's parks to the coast.

7. Dance the night away at Hairspray

8. Watch Olly Murs perform in a Welsh Park

Cue plenty of screams as the chart-topping X Factor star will be heading back to Wales just weeks after his gig at Wrexham Racecourse to entertain his legions of fans at Swansea's Singleton Park.

9. Watch a classic car rally

Where: Roadl Dahl Plass, Cardiff Bay, CF10 4PZ.

When: August 13

A huge selection of cars from the Glamorgan Classic Car Club will be on display around the perimeter of the Plass, overlooking Cardiff Bay Beach for visitors to view and meet the owners.

Cars on display will include four classic cars from the film Mr Nice, 1970s Chips-style motorbikes, the bug Honda Goldwings and Renault Rally Cars.

10. Go and meet a secret owl

Where: Picton Castle, The Rhos, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, SA62 4AS.

When: Throughout the hols

Pembrokeshire's newest attraction is home to Wales’ largest collection of owls. Meet them, watch them fly and fly one yourself. Also find Fudge’s hiding spots and his trail of hoo's hoo, and learn about the owl's super-powers.

11. Take a walk on the wild side

Where: Plantasia, Parc Tawe Retail Park

If the rain decides to make an appearance, you can escape inside Swansea’s tropical hothouse, which is open every day. Plantasia have a special events taking place with Dinosaurs in the Jungle from August 15 to 17.

12. Have a blast at Green Man 2017

Green Man 2017 marks 15 years of the festival and will this year's headliners are PJ Harvey and Ryan Adams.

Joining the two-time Mercury Prize-winner Harvey and Grammy-nominated Adams, are Future Islands, Michael Kiwanuka and loads more musical names.

13. Party at Castell Roc Festival

Where: Chepstow Castle

When: August 17-28

Castell Roc Festival is a small, but perfectly formed friendly festival held inside the castle where festival goers can enjoy a week of live music and entertainment.

This year's line-up includes ‘Monsters of Roc’ which a chance to head back to the head banging days of the 80s and 90s with AC/DC, Bon Jovi and Guns & Roses tribute acts as well as The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club, The Magic of Motown and Collabro.

14. Race a train

Where: Tywyn

When: August 19

This event is organised by Tywyn Rotary Club, and literally sees runners pit themselves against a steam train to arrive first at the station.

15. Go to a Grand Medieval Melee

Where: Cardiff Castle

When: August 19 & 20

A day full of the sights and sounds of life centuries ago with all the hustle and bustle of a medieval encampment, music, games, displays and have a go archery activities. Colourful tents, noble knights and fascinating falconry demonstrations create a great day of time-travelling and a fabulous family day out.

16. Encounter a dinosaur

Where: Cardiff Castle

When: August 24

Take a close look at the dinosaur models, their bones and their eggs and see cockroaches, scorpions, lizards and snakes. AND meet a walking, growling T-Rex.

17. Celebrate the great outdoors

18. Have some Pride

Where: Cardiff City Hall Lawns.

When: August 25 to 27.

The annual celebration is this year bringing back Cardiff's famous Big Weekend , which was always one of the key events in the Cardiff summer calendar.

As well as the music, there will a real carnival atmosphere with fairground rides, stalls and a riot of colour.

19. Take a ride on the Swansea Bay Rider Land Train

Where and when: The train will run daily from July 22 until September 3

If you’re after a more relaxed summer outing you can also hop on the Swansea Bay Rider Land Train for a more dynamic view, with less leg work.

20. Watch some cinema by the sea

21. Get bogged down

Where: Waen Rhydd peat bog at Llanwrtyd Wells.

When: Sunday, August, 27.

Are you truly Welsh if you haven't had a go at bog snorkelling? The infamous World Bog Snorkelling Championships returns again for it's 32nd year and is one of the top 50 'must do' things from around the world according to Lonely Planet.

It involves competitors attempting to swim two lengths of a 60 year trench wearing a snorkel and flippers. The manic that manages to complete the race in the fastest time wins.

Teens aged between 14 and 17 years are invited to get involved - especially if their room already resembles something similar to a bog!

22. Go and see the Weeping Window

The Senedd, Cardiff Bay.
A cascade comprising several thousand handmade ceramic poppies , Weeping Window was originally seen pouring from a high window to the ground below at the Tower of London.

the sea of poppies from the Tower of London has been set up in Cardiff to commemorate the First World War.

After visiting Caernarfon Castle last year , this is the second time the breathtaking sculpture Weeping Window has come to Wales and will allow people to see the thousands of poppies cascading out of the Senedd in Cardiff Bay.

The display has taken five days to set up, with each handmade poppy put in place by a special art handling team under the instruction of designer Tom Piper and artist Paul Cummins.

23. Go and see The Gruffalo Live
